The Hillsburgh Erin Skating Club are pleased to announce that we are hosting the Provincial Series #1 - Adult competition on November 16th and 17th 2024!
With talent coming from across the province, we look forward to welcoming these amazing skaters to our town!
We hope you all can join us!

The Hillsburgh Erin Skating Club Annual General Meeting date has been announced for June 2nd 2024.
The AGM will be at the Hillsburgh Library (community room downstairs) at 6pm.

Current positions available are for Vice President and a Director at large. We welcome all skating families to come, even if you do not wish to be part of the board. This is your opportunity to give your input and see what the board is about. We also are looking for general volunteers to assist from time to time with events and skating lesson setup/supervision.

Coaching Opportunities

The Hillsburgh Erin Skating Club (HESC) is looking for CanSkate and Professional Coaches for their upcoming 2023-2024 season. Our sanctioned Skate Canada Club has been in operation for over 50 years and our programs run out of both the Erin and Hillsburgh arenas. We currently offer programs for our community from beginner (children – adult) to our most skilled STAR skaters.
We are actively seeking Coaches who are enthusiastic, motivated and have a passion for coaching in a team environment. Our sessions run on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons, from October to April.
Applicants will be considered for coaching PreCan, Parent and Tot, CanSkate, PreSTAR and/or STARSkate programs. Successful candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence, work well with others, have a desire to work with kids and support our athletes’ long-term development.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications-

Valid First Aid Certificate

NCCP certificate and a member in good standing with Skate Canada

CanSkate Club Coach (or in training)

Regional Coach certified (or higher)

Excellent team building and interpersonal skills

Excellent communicator

Reliable and committed to delivering a high-quality program as per our ‘Exceeded Standard’ with Skate Canada

Demonstrated commitment to developing skaters in a fun and positive environment
